Greyson is exactly what you would expect in a vintage kitchen from a beautiful European estate. Utilizing solid white oak, the tops on each piece are allowed to retain the natural markings of the wood, and are hand-worn for a vintage feel. These weathered tops are then finished in a fossil tone and correlate seamlessly with solid Pacific Northwest alder cabinets. The tighter grain alder allows for a smoother, more refined surface to create contrast against the oak. Detailed, nature inspired carvings blend with pronounced architectural motifs to complete the style. Greyson follows the formula that has made Kincaid sought after for four generations: original design, heirloom solid wood construction, and an honest value. In addition to modern features like our adjustable soft-close drawer glides, Kincaid utilizes the best of the old-world construction techniques. Such features include English Dovetails, mortise and tenon construction, floating tops and panels, full dust proofing, and multi-step hand-rubbed finishes. Sometimes, something as seemingly insignificant as the thickness of the top, or the softened edge of a corner makes all the difference. From the designer's pencil to the engineer’s computer renderings, elements such as these come under close scrutiny to achieve a certain balance in each piece of furniture.
