I bought washer & dryer a year ago. Door collects clothes which fall out upon opening; sheets tumble into a big ball with some not getting dry. A year later dryer instasteam won™™t turn off - of course my extended warranty doesn™™t get me any help quickly (awaiting call back)

I bought this in 6/2016 and began using it 8/2016. It has been fantastic until recently when it got very noisy and wasn't drying efficiently. Repair man expected it to be the blower fan, but that was fine - the problem was the metal cover when the front is off, which had snapped at a stress point - surely metal can't snap from "wear and tear"?? We paid ~$250 to have this fixed. Still doesn't work, doesn't get hot...another repair visit to find out that as a result of the ensuing shakiness of the dryer, the ignitor is broken also, which will be another $250-350 to fix. Surely I should be able to expect a thousand dollar dryer to last 3 years????

Love the appearance of the equipment. Large capacity is great, operates as it should and is quiet. It™™s the only equipment which was 38™ tall vs. the standard 39™... that was a big driver for my decision, due to my installation conditions. Only owned a few weeks... I love my new dryer. I especially love the quick refresh feature (because I hate ironing). The only thing I don't like is the touch panel across the front. If I have to lean in to hang clothes on the rack I have above it and it turns the power off when my waist touches it (even through my clothes).

Electrolux got onto my shopping list after researching washers and dryers. Both this dryer (EFME617STT) and the washer (EFLS627UTT) I purchased are top rated by multiple sources. The machines are beautiful in titanium, perform well and are feature reach. As for reliability, time will tell. My previous front-loader washer lasted 12 years and three moves (once up and downstairs) without a single repair, before the main-bearing failed. My old dryer was still working. While 12 years is a long time, I have lived alone most that time, so actual uses was less than a family would have experienced. Note: the Perfect™ Steam cycle in this dryer requires a water connection for use. Electrolux provides the pertinent connection water hardware for side-by-side or top-bottom installation, but does not work for opposed or face-to-face installations. My solution was a length of PVC above the baseboard with stainless-steel hoses connected to each end. Just make sure the PVC fittings connecting are the proper ones for washer hoses.

I bought this washer and the matching dryer a little over six months ago. At first I was super happy with both of them. They™™re pretty and wash well. HOWEVER, water drips out of the front of the washer. The washer is so loud when it spins that I can actually hear it from outside. If I™™m sitting on my bed when it spins, I can feel my bed shaking from two rooms away. My house is the same age as the washer and dryer and I™™m starting to wonder if it™™s acrually going to damage my tile floors in the laundry room or the beams and studs inside my walls. As for the dryer, it has recently become very loud. It sounds like the drum is scraping on the inside. Not sure if the drum has gone off balance or if it is defective for some other reason, but I can™™t have the dryer on at night when anyone is trying to sleep. It™™s too loud. When I purchased these, I questioned the salesman about the front load washer smell that is typical with front load washers. I was told that won™™t happen with this washer because of the way they are designed. That™™s not true at all. The washer always smells. If I wash it using washer cleaner, the smell goes away, but returns after one wash.After calling Electrolux about the excessive noise and shaking, they set up a repair appointment for me. The repairman came to my house, looked them over and said he didn™™t find any issues. So I™™m stuck with extremely loud machines that shake my whole house. And the washer still leaks. These are terrible. I wish I purchased something different.

We bought this six months ago. Has been very nice overall, but has had some minor leaking out of the door. The seal does not hold like it should with a large load, which means we do more smaller loads. Each extra load is money out of our pockets.
